Recipe: Loaded Hash Browns

Step up your campfire brekky game with these drool-worthy hash browns. Once you go loaded you won’t go back! 

Ingredients:

  • 500g frozen hash browns
  • 200g diced bacon
  • 200g sour cream
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • Salt & pepper

Method:

  1. Defrost hash browns to room temperature. Pre-heat the jaffle iron then spray on a generous amount of oil.
  2. In a bowl, mix together bacon pieces, green onion and sour cream.
  3. Sprinkle a layer of hash brown on the base of the jaffle then cover with 2-3 tbls of bacon mix. Top with another layer of hash brown. *Can also use two whole hash browns to make a thick sandwich.
  4. Secure the lid of the jaffle iron and cook over hot coals for 3-5 mins, flipping half way or as needed. Serve golden brown!
